I'm getting ready

Sorry I haven't been around much.

I haven't made a thing in a whole week.... Yikes!

I'm busily getting things together for my pitch,

like my portfolio, resume, business cards, and lots of other stuff.

I'm helping the Uber Fabulous Tiffany teach her class at the Craft Super show on Saturday.

I have lots of appointments to meet with some of my favorite manufacturers.

And I hope I get meet up with a few of you too.

Not to mention the parties... JK

So today I...

I colored my hair dark purple today... cut some bangs...

(first time I had bangs since I got married I think)

The girls are coming over tomorrow to help me pick out my outfits...

And I'm hoping to make a bib necklace before I go.

Oh and I stil have to post the GETSKETCHY and Crop Suey Challenges tomorrow...

Whew..... what alot to do.

So I hope you'll understand if I don't blog until I get back.

Exciting News

So here's the moment I've been waiting for.

The moment I want to share some great news.

I am so SUPER EXCITED it's beyond crazy.

I'm going to CHA this weekend,

and I'm bringing my sister.

I'm so completely stoked.

But that's only half of it.

The other half is I'm pitching my book!

Woot woot.

I haven't prayed as much as I have these last few days in forever!

So cross your fingers, and toes for me.

I wish you could all come,

I need you to hold my hand...

So I'm off getting ready for it...

working on my Portfolio and all the plans that need to get made.

CARDS MAgazine Challenge

This weeks challenge over at the CARDS MAgazine blog

is to create a card inspired by this one...

And here is the card I made for it.

(Project 4)

I used Amy Butler papers,

Crate paper sticker (now tag)

and one of my homemade pins.

I stuck to a similar color combo,

and loved the scallops and the button,

so I lifted those for this card.

I created this card for the COLOR PLAY Challenge

over at MOXIE FAB WORLD

Here's the swatch

Now I don't have any of the periwinkle color in my stash,

and sticking with my 100 Scrap projects challenge,

I had to figure something out.

So I used my Stampin Up chalks to color the chipboard.

It's not great,

but I love it anyways, and proud that I stuck to my guns.

(So this card is Scrap Project 2)

And then I made this layout

for THE STORY MATTERS

The Challenge is to create a layout based on what you did on New Years Eve.

Well we had our besties over and played Killer Bunnies all night.

You can say we are addicted.

I used October Afternoon papers, and then printed off some

Killer Bunnies images off the internet,

and have them trying to escape the layout.

Last year I tried to complete 52 projects in 52 weeks,

somewhere along the way i lost motivation.

This week im going to try it again.

So Im creating 1 ATC for each week.... or thats my plan anyways.

I even created a small group over at SCRAPTIFFANY if you want to join me.
